Revelations of burial chambers in Egypt have uncovered wreaths made with blossoms, with roses among them. The wreath in the burial place of Hawara (found by the English excavator William Flinders Petrie) dates to about AD 170, and addresses the most established safeguarded record of a rose animal varieties actually living.
