How Do I Setup the Hotmail account on Windows 10 Mail application?

We all have used the Hotmail account through browsers only. while you can also use it on the third party mail applications like windows 10 mail application. All you have to do is, configure the account using the exchange server or imap/pop3 servers. If you don't know how to fix the problems. 

How To Add Hotmail account on windows 10 mail application? 

Generally, there are three ways to add the Hotmail account on windows 10 mail application. you can apply it on your device. 

1. Use the Hotmail account on windows 10 mail application - 

  • Open the windows 10 mail application on your device. 
  • Click on the Settings. 
  • Here, you need to click on the manage accounts button. 
  • Now click on the add account button. 
  • here, you need to press the outlook option. 
  • now enter your email address and password. after that, you need to click on the sign in button. 
once you will make these changes into the outlook account. your email will start working fine. 

2. Use the IMAP servers- 

If you are unable to configure the hotmail account via exchange servers. you need to check the imap and pop3 server settings.
  • Open the windows 10 mail application. 
  • Click on the files and settings. 
  • now click on the manage account. 
  • here, you need to click on the add account. 
  • Now to click on the imap/pop3 account. 
  • Please enter your email address, password and other details. 
  • Enter the imap  server name-
  • in the port number section- please enter 993. 
  • Now in the outgoing server address- you need to enter
  • in the port number section, you need to enter 465.
  • Now click on the done button.
