Cloud Computing refers to the on-demand distribution of IT resources over the internet. You can pay to use a cloud computing service instead of buying and maintaining computer devices and services. It saves you time, effort, and money over doing everything yourself!
There are three types of cloud computing services that stack on top of each other:
Software as a Service (SaaS) - A platform is used to provide software services.
Platform as a Service (PaaS) - Infrastructure as a service covers platform services.
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) - Infrastructure is the bedrock upon which services are constructed.
But why do you want to use the cloud?
Why would you want to run a business without your own computers, servers, employees, and offices?
You can do a lot more with a lot less using cloud computing!
It's on-demand!
Cloud services are on-demand, which means you can use them at any time and from any location. It's not constrained by space or size.
It's cheaper!
You didn't want to buy computers, rent office space, or hire employees. Various cloud service models provide some or all of these features. Because you only pay for what you desire, this could result in significant savings.
It's flexible:
You can expand or decrease the scope of your projects or the intensity of your effort as needed because you only pay for what you want and what you want is accessible from anywhere.
Where Can I Access Cloud Computing?
Individual users have access to a variety of cloud computing services, but the "big three" are:
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a cloud computing service (AWS)
Google Cloud Platform is a cloud computing platform developed by Google (GCP)
Azure is a service provided by Microsoft.
