Eddie Kone Undercover on the beginning of Mixed Martial Arts

Eddie Kone Undercover said that the first documented use of the name "Mixed Martial Arts" took place in 1993 in a review of UFC 1 by TV critic Howard Rosenberg. The first widely used name for a mixed martial arts promotion was Rick Blume, president, and CEO of Battlecade Extreme Fighting in September 1995 for UFC 7. It was marketed as "Ultimate Fighting" and held at a bar in NHB Blatnick, where John McCarthy proposed it as the "UFC 17" rule, which drew mounting public criticism.
RankingMMA publishes independent mixed martial arts rankings that do not exclude fighters for promotion. MMA fighters are ranked based on their performance, the outcome of their fights, and the level of competition they faced. In the Brazilian sport of Vale Tudo, fighters of different styles fight with little or no rules.
