The Best Chicken Wings in 2021

best chicken wings are a local specialty

If you have been in Houston for more than a few years, you know that the best chicken wings are a local specialty. As with most cities throughout the U.S., there are hundreds of different variations on the theme of sweet and spicy wings. The following recipe is my favorite, and it's definitely not the only one I've had that is worthy of being called the best chicken wings in Houston. You can taste it in eat chimac.

Make Sure To Get Sharp: It's important to make sure your chicken wing is really sharp, or else it will fall apart after three to five minutes in the fryer. I usually recommend boning for this part - something like thin cut, or fat-free, olive oil. Season chicken with salt and pepper, and rub with flour. When breading, make sure to coat the flour with flour as well, and not just with oil. Then dip the wings in batter, and let them sit in that batter for about five minutes. At that point, they're ready to cook.

Get Some Orange Oil

Get Some Orange Oil: When breading, I always recommend orange oil, because it adds a nice rich flavor to the breading. As an alternative, you could use honey or spices as a binder. For best results, I have always used a teaspoon of flour with the bread. The best chimac chicken wings in Houston are made with breading and orange oil.

Buffalo Chicken Wings

Buffalo Chicken Wings: Buffalo wings are my favorite snack food, by far. I love buffalo wings when they're fresh, but the easiest way to get them is to buy wing sections at your local supermarket. Just grab wing sections of wing and beat them up with bread. Add spices (just about any type will work) and breading and you've got your very own buffalo wing. The spices you use are entirely up to you, but you might want to try Cayenne, chili powder, oregano, or Sweet Smoke BBQ sauce. These make awesome spicy buffalo wings!

Barbecue Chicken Wings

Barbecue Chicken Wings: Again, I love to barbecue wings. I've even made them myself at times, if only to watch someone else make them. Best of all, they're so easy to make. Simply mix up some breading, some oil and spices (I prefer garlic powder), and you have your very own barbeque chicken wings.

There are literally thousands of different recipes for chicken wings. So, what's the one that's best for you? It depends on what you're looking for, what sort of taste you're going for, and what you can find.

If you go to a bar, you might want to try some of the different sauces they have. For instance, Texas Style, which is a hot sauce to help make the wings sassy. If you go to a restaurant, you might want to try a nice marinade or rub with a little garlic, onion, pepper, etc. It adds some flavor. For some recipes, adding salt, sugar, and a bit of black pepper is a good idea, as well.

dozens of different brands of chicken wings

There are dozens of different brands of chicken wings out there. Some of the most popular ones are Whole Foods, Market Pantry, and wings from The Cheesecake Factory (again, Whole Foods). Of course, sometimes you just have to go with something more traditional like Hooters. Either way, chicken wings are always fun and good for you too!

What kind of seasonings should you use? Seasoning comes in so many varieties that it's impossible to mention them all here. Just remember that barbecue wings (and other wings) are mostly made with fat. So, the more fat you can apply, the better. Follow this rule: the more flavoring, the better!

Does your favorite restaurant have the best chicken fried steak? If they don't, then you're lucky, because at locales like Sonic Shoes, you can get fried steak! It's really great, and you can even order it with cheese and bacon. For the crust, it's best if you get a Hooters' pizza crust. It's not the greatest, but it's easy to make and you won't feel like you're paying a lot for it. No matter what kind of crust you get, your chicken will be better for it.

Don't forget the mashed potatoes. And the coleslaw! Don't forget the coleslaw. In fact, your whole diet should revolve around these four things. It doesn't have to be that complicated. It just needs to be well-rounded.
