Cordless drills are a godsend for a handyman's toolchest. This is an energy and time-saver whether its small fixes around the house or bigger jobs. Don't forget the best part - no cords to trip over. You have power and portability in one machine. There are quite a few options to choose from. Wondering which one to pick for yourself.
There are 3 different types of Cordless Leaf Blowers Manufacturers:
A) Multifunction - These drills help in drilling holes and fixing screws without grinding away the grooves of screws. Don't forget to get the reverse feature in your drill. With the normal direction you can tighten screws and with the reverse you will be able extract screws too.
B) Variable speed - As the name suggests, these drills have multiple speed options. Why would this be useful? Not all screws need the same power or speed. You could use the slower speeds for basic stuff but for heavy furniture you need the higher speeds.
C) Hammer - This is the big gun of cordless drills. A lightweight drill won't be useful when it comes to going through concrete. The bigger models such as the hammer are built exactly for this purpose.
There are 2 things you should look for when purchasing a drill:
Charger/Long Battery Life - When your drill doesn't have cords it gets all the power it needs from batteries. These drain pretty quickly so its important to have a secondary battery or a charger too. The Ni-Cd or Nickel Cadmium batteries aren't as good as the Lithium-Ion ones. The chargers will get your battery back to full charge in less than 20 minutes. If you want to save yourself some grief, get a powerful charger and a spare battery.
